RESOLUTION

A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF ENID AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A COMMUNITY PROJECT FUNDING (CPF) APPLICATION AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY STAFF TO EXECUTE ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS FOR SUBMITTAL TO THE U.S. CONGRESS.

WHEREAS, the U.S. Congress may make federal funding available through CPF and;

WHEREAS, the City of Enid (“City”), proposes to construct a section of S. Grand Avenue located between E. Maple Avenue and E. Garriot Road at a cost of approximately five million eight hundred sixty-three thousand six hundred sixty-six dollars ($5,863,666.00) and;

WHEREAS, the City, if appropriated CPF funds, is not required to provide matching funds, but will be required to cover any costs over the awarded grant amount;

WHEREAS, the City will request approximately five million eight hundred sixty-three thousand six hundred sixty-six dollars ($5,863,666.00) in grant funding;

WHEREAS, the City must submit an application and various related paperwork, and if awarded, must execute an agreement with the federal department or agency the Congress assigns, in order to receive funds

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Enid, as follows:

that the mayor and city staff are authorized to submit the City of Enid’s application; and, if awarded, to enter into said award agreement; to sign all applicable documents, forms, certifications and agreements.

WHEREAS, the City of Enid (“City”), proposes to build a new solids plant at the City sewer plant at an estimated cost of approximately thirty-two million two hundred thirty-one thousand three hundred forty-two dollars ($32,231,342.00) and;

WHEREAS, the City of Enid, if appropriated CPF funds, is required to provide twenty percent (20%) matching funds, up to approximately six million four hundred forty-six thousand two hundred sixty-eight dollars ($6,446,268.00), and will be required to cover any costs over the awarded funding amount;

WHEREAS, the City will request approximately twenty-five million seven hundred eighty-five thousand seventy-four dollars ($25,785,074.00) in CPF funding;

WHEREAS, the City must submit an application and various related paperwork, and if awarded, must execute an agreement with the federal department or agency the Congress assigns, in order to receive funds,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Enid, as follows:

that the mayor and city staff are authorized to submit the City of Enid’s application; and, if awarded, to enter into said award agreement; to sign all applicable documents, forms, certifications and agreements.

RESOLUTION

Rupe Avenue, reconstruct the intersections at S. Garland Road and W. Randolph Avenue and S. Garland Road and W. Rupe Avenue, and make improvements to W. Rupe Avenue between S. Garland Road and S. Wheatridge Road at an estimated cost of approximately twenty-one million five hundred seventeen thousand one hundred forty-five dollars ($21,517,145.00) and;

WHEREAS, the City of Enid, if appropriated CPF funds, is not required to provide matching funds, but will be required to cover any costs over the awarded grant amount;

WHEREAS, the City will request approximately twenty-one million five hundred seventeen thousand one hundred forty-five dollars ($21,517,145.00) in funding;

WHEREAS, the City must submit an application and various related paperwork, and if awarded, must execute an agreement with the federal department or agency the Congress assigns, in order to receive funds,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Enid, as follows:

that the mayor and city staff are authorized to submit the City of Enid’s application; and, if awarded, to enter into said award agreement; to sign all applicable documents, forms, certifications and agreements.
